Péter Kiss
Peter Kiss (1981) graduated as a physicist (PhD) at the Loránd Eötvös University, Budapest, Hungary. He is currently working as a programmer. He is into astronomy since early childhood. His first astronomical drawing was born in 1989 and his first deep-sky drawing published in print in 1995. His main area of interest is visual obseration and drawing of deep-sky objects. Nevertheless he sometimes grabs a camera and aims it at the sky.
He started photographing more seriously in 2004 - analogue daylight images. He got a flavour of astronomical image reduction methods at the university. He is not pursuing cutting-edge astrophotography. His goal is usually to simply capture the spirit of the moment. His nightscapes and wide-field astronomical images have appeared in print a couple of times.
